Dr. Nitsa Rosenzweig is the Scientific Review Officer for the Small Business; Biomaterials, Delivery, and Nanotechnology (BST-R) Study Section.
She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel characterizing extracellular matrix secreted from keratinocytes. She then had postdoctoral training at Iowa State University, University of Michigan, and Tulane University, studying lipid signal transduction pathways. She was a faculty member at Xavier University and at the University of New Orleans, developing new biomaterials for detection, drug targeting, and controlled release. Nitsa had funding to develop biomaterial from different Federal Agencies and has publications in the area of controlled and targeted drug delivery. She joined the Center for Scientific review at The National Institute of Health in 2006.
