Dr. Ping Wu serves as the Scientific Review Officer for the Community-Level Health Promotion (CLHP) study section in the Healthcare Delivery and Methodologies (HDM) Integrated Review Group, Division of AIDS, Behavioral and Population Sciences of the Center for Scientific Review, NIH.

Dr. Wu received her Ph.D. in Applied Social Research from Lehigh University and her post-doctoral training in Psychiatric Epidemiology at the Department of Epidemiology, Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University. Her scientific interests include psychiatric epidemiology, mental health, substance use, service utilization and program evaluation. Before coming to CSR, she was an associate professor of Clinical Epidemiology (in Psychiatry) with a joint appointment from the Department of Psychiatry, College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Department of Epidemiology, Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University. She was the Principal Investigator on multiple NIH and CDC funded projects as well as on projects funded by private foundations. Her research focused on adolescent substance use, comorbid psychiatric problems and related treatment service utilization. She taught course in field methods in epidemiology, supervised more than 20 graduate students and authored or co-authored more than 50 research articles and book chapters.
