Dr. Andrea Keane-Myers serves as the Scientific Review Officer for CSR’s Small Business Innovative Immunology Research SBIR, IMM-R(10)and the Small business: Non-HIV Microbial Vaccine Development, IMM-R(12) study sections. She received her Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from Johns Hopkins University.
She then completed a Post-doctoral Fellowship in Pulmonary Physiology at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions investigating allergic asthma, followed by a second Post-doctoral Fellowship in Molecular and Ocular Immunology at the Schepens Eye Research Institute/ Harvard Medical School focusing on allergic conjunctivitis. Dr. Keane-Myers served as the Chief of the Allergic Inflammation Section in the Laboratory of Allergic Diseases/ NIAID/ NIH where she explored the relationship between helminth parasite infection and the allergic response. She served as the Head of the Vaccines and Medical Countermeasures Department at the Biological Defense Research Directorate/Naval Medical Research Center designing select agent vaccines for the military prior to joining CSR.
