Dr. Gniesha Y. Dinwiddie is a Scientific Review Officer for CSR’s Population Sciences and Epidemiology Integrated Review Group.
After receiving a PhD in medical sociology from the University of Pennsylvania, she completed post-doctoral training in demography in the Office of Population Research at Princeton University. After leaving Princeton, Dr. Dinwiddie accepted an assistant professor position at the University of Maryland College Park and an associate faculty appointment in the Hopkins Center for Health Disparities Solutions at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She has conducted research on the macro-social determinants implicated in cardiovascular disease risk for disparity populations and the bio-social pathways that inform differential risk. Regarded as an expert in the field of population health and health disparities, Dr. Dinwiddie has authored and co-authored over 25 empirical studies which appear in top peer reviewed journals, book chapters and policy reports.
