Review Branch Summary

The Neurotechnology and Vision (NV) Review Branch is led by Dr. Joseph Rudolph. NV reviews crosscutting neuroscience and/or vision grant applications that focus on the development of novel technologies as well as the application of emerging technologies to neuroscience problems or on training in the neurosciences. The scientific areas are broad and include: genetics, bioengineering, drug development, bioinformatics, modeling, simulation, and imaging all in a neuroscience context. The NV Branch also reviews applications in the areas of vision technology, eye disorders and diseases including pathogenesis, diagnosis, detection, treatment, and prevention of eye disorders and disease. Areas covered in the areas of vision technology development include low vision technologies, low vision rehabilitation and assessment, imaging in the eye as well as retinal prosthetics and drug development.
