Dr. John Bishop came to the NIH in 1981 to work in the NINDS Experimental Therapeutics Branch (ETB), and held positions there ranging from laboratory technician to Acting Chief of the Unit on Neuroendocrinology. His most recent laboratory work was in the ETB Genetic Pharmacology Unit, where he focused on the molecular pathobiology of Parkinson's disease. Dr. Bishop holds a Ph.D. in physiology from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and has worked at CSR since 2000.
