Dr. Chris Melchior received a Ph.D. in psychobiology from Purdue University, then worked as a postdoctoral fellow in pharmacology at the University of Colorado. Prior to coming to CSR, Dr. Melchior spent several years as a research pharmacologist at the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration and as an Associate Professor at the University of California Los Angeles, pursuing her long standing research interest in the neurochemical and behavioral mechanisms of alcohol addiction. She has served in various capacities for CSR, including as the Chief of the Integrative, Functional, and Cognitive Neuroscience Integrated Review Group.
