Dr. Wenchi Liang serves as the Scientific Review Officer for CSR’s Biodata Management and Analysis Study Section.

Prior to that, Dr. Liang was the Scientific Review Officer for the Community Influences on Health Behavior Study Section for six years. Before joining CSR, Dr. Liang was an assistant professor of oncology at Georgetown University Medical Center conducting community- and clinic-based research related to cancer screening, patient-physician communication, and sociocultural influence in health behavior. She was the recipient of a career award funded by NCI and the principal investigator for an NIH R01 grant evaluating the effectiveness of a culturally tailored, physician-based intervention in improving physician colorectal cancer screening recommendation and patient screening adherence. Dr. Liang directed a graduate course on cancer biomarkers, prevention, and epidemiology and was involved in teaching medical students on evidence-based medicine, physician communication, and social and cultural issues in healthcare. Dr. Liang also worked as a statistician in the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Dr. Liang received her Ph.D. in health policy and management from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and her D.D.S. from National Yang-Ming Medical College in Taiwan.
