Dr. David Winter serves as the Scientific Review Officer for CSR’s Cellular and Molecular Immunology-A Study Section (CMI-A).
After receiving his Ph.D. in microbiology/immunology at the State University of New York-Buffalo, Dr. Winter first worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health and then as a senior ITRA fellow at the National Institute on Aging, studying the contribution of DNA repair to the hypermutation of immunoglobulin genes. He was then awarded a Senior Research Fellow position by the National Research Council to study molecular adjuvants for malaria vaccines. Dr. Winter went on to become an External Program Officer at the NIAID/NIH for several years. Before coming to CSR, Dr. Winter worked as the External Collaborations Manager for Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics in Siena, Italy.
