Dr. Jan Li is the Scientific Review Officer in the Surgical Sciences, Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (SBIB) Integrated Review Group (IRG), Division of Translational and Clinical Sciences (DTCS) of Center for Scientific Review (CSR), NIH.

She received her MD. in Medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from SUNY Upstate Medical University. Following her postdoctoral training in studies of angiogenesis and myocardial ischemia in Harvard School of Public Health and Harvard Medical School, she joined the faculty of Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where she directed NIH funded research projects (R01, R21) in mechanism of transcription factor in cardiovascular disorders. She also supervised more than 20 graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and published over 50 research articles and book chapters.
