Dr. Marci Scidmore is the Scientific Review Officer for the Bacterial Pathogenesis Study Section in the Infectious Diseases and Microbiology Integrated Review Group.

After receiving her Ph.D. in molecular biology from Princeton University, she went to the NIAID Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Hamilton, Montana, for postdoctoral training and began to study the host-pathogen interactions of the obligate intracellular bacterium, Chlamydia. She continued her studies on the cellular biology of Chlamydia as an NIH staff scientist and then as an NIH-funded associate professor at Cornell’s College of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, NY.
