Dr. Jingsheng Tuo is the Scientific Review Officer for CSR’s Integrated Review Group of AIDS and AIDS Related Research Integrated Review Group (AARR). Before working in CSR, Dr. Tuo was an intramural scientist at the National Eye Institute, where he studied the epidemiology, immunology, animal models and pharmacology of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, uveitis and some rare ocular diseases. His research focused on the roles of genetic structure and immunological pathways on pathogenesis, disease susceptibility, therapy responses (pharmacogenomics) and potential use as biomarkers. Dr. Tuo completed his Post-doc training at the National Institute on Aging, where he studied the roles of DNA repair in premature aging diseases. He has authored or co-authored more than 80 original articles, reviews, editorials and book chapters. Dr. Tuo received a Ph.D. in pharmacology/toxicology from University of Copenhagen, Denmark; MPH and medical degrees from Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Sciences, China.
