Dr. Inna Gorshkova is the Scientific Review Officer for CSR’s Surgical Sciences, Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering Integrative Review Group.

She received her Ph.D. in chemistry from the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics in Kiev, Ukraine, and did pre-doctoral and postdoctoral training at the Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine, in Novosibirsk, Russia. She was a faculty member of the Novosibirsk State University, where she served as associate professor of chemistry and biochemistry. Her research focused on the target directed chemical modification of biopolymers that participate in realization of genetic information. Prior to coming to CSR, she was an intramural staff scientist at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering since 2004, and at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development since 1998, where her research focused on the characterization of diverse protein interactions, related directly to medical problems, using multiple biophysical methods.
