Dr. Jasenka Borzan’s graduate work in behavioral neuroscience focused on the role of sex hormones in the development of inflammatory pain and the modulation of morphine antinociception. She received her Ph.D. in experimental psychology at the University of Texas at Arlington. For the next ten years, she worked at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine -- first as a postdoctoral fellow and later as faculty -- where she continued her research on the mechanisms of itch and inflammatory and neuropathic pain in rodent and primate models. Before becoming a Scientific Review Officer at CSR, she worked as a contract SRO, supporting reviews in several CSR Integrated Review Groups and Divisions.
