Dr Tasmeen Weik has a Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) in health policy and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in epidemiology and biostatistics. Prior to joining NIH, Dr Weik served as a senior health scientist for the Office of Population Affairs (OPA)/Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health. She led OPA’s research efforts related to the Affordable Care Act, focusing on reproductive health. Dr Weik also served as the director of research for the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Emergency Medical Services for Children program and as the executive director within the Child Health Advocacy Institute at Children’s National Medical Center, overseeing health services and clinical research in pediatric emergency medicine. She has published several peer review articles in high impact peer-reviewed journals.
