Luis E Dettin is a Scientific Review Officer at the CSR’s Genes, Genomes, and Genetics [GGG] IRG.

After receiving his Ph.D. in Cellular Biology from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina, Dr. Dettin had a post-doctoral training working with Stem Cells at Georgetown University. After 8 years working in several positions, and in different fields such as Biology of Reproduction, Cancer Research, Cell Biology, Biochemistry and Neurosciences, and established the Electron Microscopy and two Immunohistology core facilities at Georgetown University. His scientific research was published in several high impact journals including Science, Cancer Research and Biology of Reproduction, among others. Dr. Dettin joined CSR in the year 2009 when he acted as Scientific Review Officer (contractor) for several divisions, including the Division of Translational and Clinical Sciences; Division of Neuroscience, Development and Aging; Division of AIDS, Behavioral and Population Sciences and the Division of Basic and Integrative Biological Sciences.
