Dr. Leslie Itsara obtained her Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Washington, where she utilized genetic approaches to study mitochondrial DNA. She then performed post-doctoral research at Seattle Children’s Research Institute and focused on elucidating neuronal mechanisms responsible for anesthesia. Prior to joining CSR, Dr. Itsara was the program director of a malaria vaccine company, and she focused on vaccine manufacturing and delivery.
