Dr. Jyothi Arikkath received her Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Iowa/HHMI and postdoctoral training in neurobiology at the University of California, San Francisco/HHMI. She was a faculty member at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Howard University before coming to CSR. Dr. Arikkath’s academic and scientific expertise includes molecular and cellular biology, biomedical engineering, and developmental neurobiology. As a faculty member, Dr. Arikkath trained students and postdoctoral fellows, in addition to leading a research program focused on the molecular mechanisms that underlie neuronal function and plasticity in neurodevelopment and neurodevelopmental disorders using rodent models with funding from private and federal sources, which included the NIH. Additionally, she has served as a reviewer and editorial board member for scientific journals and served as a reviewer for federal study sections and private funding agencies.
