Dr. Jain Krotz received her Ph.D. in polymer chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India. She then conducted post-doctoral research in biomaterials, tissue engineering, at the National Institutes of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Japan, the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, and at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Krotz subsequently worked in the biotech and medical device industries leading teams in both product and business development. Her product development experience encompassed a broad range of technologies including cell therapy, drug delivery, gene silencing, implantable devices, DNA chips and molecular diagnostics. Dr. Krotz oversaw the development of such products from concept to clinic and has led teams and programs in the pre-clinical and clinical stages for therapies targeting diabetes, oncology, and fibrosis/NASH.
