Dr. Bo Hong earned her Ph.D. in chemistry from Texas A&M University. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining CSR, she was an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). At UCI, she also held joint appointments in the Department of Radiological Sciences and at the Tu & Yuen Center for Functional Onco-Imaging, and her research focused on the studies of various contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and optical imaging applications in cancer research and brain imaging. Dr. Hong then moved to the NIH National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) Office of Review as a Scientific Review Officer (SRO) in the areas of biomedical technology and medical imaging. In 2004, she joined CSR Oncological Sciences IRG and became SRO of the chartered Radiation Therapeutics and Biology study section and the recurring SBIR/STTR special emphasis panel OTC-R (11).
