Biography

Division of AIDS, Behavioral and Population Sciences DABP

Dr. Olufokunbi Sam is the Director of the Division of AIDS, Behavioral and Population Sciences (DABP). Prior to this position, she served in multiple leadership positions at CSR, including serving as the CSR Patient Centered Outcome Research Institute (PCORI) Coordinator, CSR SRO Training Workshop Coordinator, the Chief of the Population Sciences and Epidemiology Integrated Review Group (IRG) and Chief of the Healthcare Delivery and Methodologies IRG.

Dr. Olufokunbi Sam earned her Ph.D. in clinical and health psychology from the University of Florida and received postdoctoral training in mental health services research and policy at the University of South Florida Department of Mental Health Law and Policy. Before joining CSR, Dr. Olufokunbi Sam was the Deputy Director of the Center of Integrated Behavioral Health Policy at the George Washington University, where she managed a diverse portfolio of behavioral health research and policy. She was also a faculty member in the Department of Health Policy at the George Washington University. Her research has focused on behavioral health policy, substance abuse prevention and treatment, minority health, and child welfare.
