Dr. Leslie Turner received her Ph.D. in evolutionary biology from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Turner trained at Harvard University, the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology, and the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She then joined the faculty of the Milner Centre for Evolution at the University of Bath, UK, where she taught genetics, behavioral ecology, and human genomics and trained undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs in her laboratory. Her research focused on genetic mechanisms underlying the speciation process in house mice, including genetic mapping of hybrid male sterility and gut microbiome dysfunction traits.
