Dr. Helen Huang received her Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She obtained postdoctoral training first at Stanford and then at the NIH Intramural Research Program. Prior to joining CSR, she was a scientific review officer at the National Institute of Child Health and Development (NICHD), holding study sections and special emphasis panels (SEPs) with applications across a variety of disciplines and mechanisms. In addition, she was a health scientist administrator at the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health, where she served as the executive secretary of the Working Group on Women in Biomedical Careers. In this role, she managed the Administrative Supplements for Continuity and Retention of Biomedical and Behavioral Research, as well as the Research Supplements to Promote Re-entry and Re-integration into and Re-training in Health-Related Research Careers.
