Dr. Nakia Brown received her Ph.D. in biopsychology from the University of Michigan. Her professional background includes experience in organizational and program evaluation within the public and private sectors. She has supported several NIH trans-agency initiatives focused on advancing community-driven health research and promoting equitable access to clinical and translational science opportunities. Her areas of expertise include the scientific and technical peer review of multidisciplinary translational research applications, evaluation of health-related programs aimed at reducing health disparities, and capacity-building to strengthen research participation among underrepresented populations. Prior to joining CSR, Dr. Brown served as a scientific review officer at the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS).
