Dr. Louis Rosenthal received his Ph.D. in immunology from the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on retrovirus-induced leukemogenesis and tumor immunology. After obtaining postdoctoral training in parasite immunology and cytokine signaling at Temple University and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), respectively, he was an NIH-funded investigator in asthma, allergy, and respiratory virus research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He served on NIH study sections and was a frequent peer reviewer for scientific journals, as well as an editorial board member for the leading allergy and clinical immunology journal. He then joined the Scientific Review Program at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) as a scientific review officer and later served as the deputy branch chief and branch chief of the Immunology Review Branch before joining CSR.
