Dr. Victoriya Volkova received her Ph.D. in veterinary epidemiology, minoring in statistics, from Mississippi State University. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Edinburgh and a research associate at the College of Veterinary Medicine of Cornell University. As an associate professor of epidemiology and mathematical modeling at the College of Veterinary Medicine of Kansas State University, Dr. Volkova led a research program on bacterial antimicrobial resistance epidemiology, surveillance systems, antimicrobial treatment design, bacteriophage epidemiology, and infectious disease dynamics modeling. Her research was funded by the NIGMS, FDA, USDA NIFA, and Kansas Bioscience Authority. Dr. Volkova served as a scientific review officer (SRO) and referral liaison at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). As an SRO at the Center for Scientific Review (CSR), Dr. Volkova has managed the Biostatistical Methods and Research Design and Analytics and Statistics for Population Research Panels A and B study sections and other review panels.
