Dr. Karin Garg received her Ph.D. in social work from Washington University in St. Louis. She completed post-doctoral fellowship training in clinical substance abuse treatment research at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Garg joined the faculty at Temple University, where she collaborated on research projects supported by the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), National Science Foundation (NSF), and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA); directed graduate and continuing education programs; and taught epidemiology, research methods and data analysis, and program evaluation. Her methodological expertise includes recruiting, tracking, retaining, and following up with difficult-to-find populations, evaluating the psychometric properties of measures, and mixed methods research.  Prior to joining CSR, Dr. Garg served as a scientific review officer at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).
