Fellowships: Risk, Prevention and Health Behavior - Panel 1 – F18B-U
The F18B study section reviews fellowship and training applications addressing health risk and/or health protective factors at the individual, family, and community levels across the lifespan, and the impact of these factors on physical health, mental health, and health care outcomes. Applications emphasize psychological, interpersonal, social, and cultural factors, as well as health system contexts that contribute to health. Research and training activities commonly focus on the etiology, prevention, treatment, and management of acute and chronic mental and physical conditions, including substance use and addiction; the optimization of health services organization, delivery, and decision-making; the characterization of health, illness, and recovery trajectories over time; and the development and application of advanced analytic, statistical, and data science methods to improve clinical care and individual health.
