Dr. Brian Scott joined CSR in 2016 as a Divisional SRO in the Division of Neuroscience, Development and Aging (DNDA) and is currently an SRO in the Integrative and Cognitive Neuroscience review branch where he oversees the Auditory System study section. Dr. Scott’s experience reviewing a broad variety of grant mechanisms and scientific topics will be useful in his new role as a Referral Officer.
Dr. Scott received his Ph.D. from the Center for Neural Science at New York University and pursued postdoctoral training at the National Institute of Mental Health, where he remained in the intramural program until joining CSR. His research focused on systems for auditory perception and memory, identifying functional and structural specializations for sound processing and memory within the primate cerebral cortex.
