Dr. Kirk Dineley received his Ph.D. and post-doctoral training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology, where his research focused on the role of metals in neurodegeneration. He subsequently served in faculty and administrative positions at several universities, where he taught students in medical, pharmacy, dental, physician assistant, nursing, and undergraduate programs. His diverse research interests span areas of metal toxicology, bioenergetics, cellular regulation of steroidogenesis, live-cell fluorescence methods, and pharmacovigilance. His work has been supported by the NIH, the National Science Foundation, the American Academy for the Advancement of Science, and the American Heart Association.
