Dr. Hasan Siddiqui received his Ph.D. in cancer and cell biology from the University of Cincinnati. He completed extensive postdoctoral training at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center in molecular oncology and epigenetics. Subsequently, he was a staff scientist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. His research focused on the molecular mechanisms of cancer development and therapeutic resistance. Dr. Siddiqui made key discoveries that advanced the understanding of the retinoblastoma tumor suppressor pathway and clarified essential roles of E2F transcription factors during embryonic development. His pediatric oncology research involved generating genetic models of Ewing’s sarcoma, as well as uncovering the contributions of non-coding RNAs to cancer initiation and progression. Prior to joining CSR, Dr. Siddiqui served as a scientific review officer at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). His review management portfolio includes both single-component and multicomponent grant applications across a broad spectrum of funding mechanisms.
