Dr. Jolanta Topczewska received her Ph.D. in biochemistry from the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences, and her postdoctoral training in developmental biology at Vanderbilt Medical Center and Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Following this training, she accepted a research faculty position at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Topczewska studied several disciplines, including the role of transcription factors in mesoderm segmentation, cell fate analysis, craniofacial biology, the role of Nodal signaling in human melanomas, and skin regeneration using zebrafish, mice, and minipig models. Before joining CSR, she worked as a scientific review officer at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).
