Dr. Magnus Azuine received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from the Cancer Research Institute at the University of Bombay, now known as the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), Mumbai; a master’s degree in life sciences from Sardar Patel University in Anand, India; a master’s degree in public health, with a concentration in global health; and a postgraduate certificate in HIV/AIDS studies from the George Washington University. He conducted his postdoctoral studies at the Institute for Pharmacy at Freie Universität, Berlin, Germany. Subsequently, Dr. Azuine was a public health analyst/project officer with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Bureau of Health Professions, now the Bureau of Health Workforce (BHW), HHS. In 2012, he transitioned to HRSA’s HIV/AIDS Bureau as a public health analyst/project officer for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program for over a decade. In 2022, he returned to BHW to oversee the Public Health Scholarship Program. Dr. Azuine then joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH) later in 2022 as a Scientific Review Officer (SRO) at the National Institute for Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).
