Dr. Murali Ganesan received his Ph.D. degree in biochemistry from the University of Madras, India. After his postdoctoral work at the University of California, Los Angeles; the University of Southern California; and the University of Nebraska Medical Center, he became an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha. During this time, his work focused on the liver injury mechanisms such as alcohol-induced liver injury, viral hepatitis, and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease. His major research expertise is in hepatology, gastroenterology, immunology, and neurobiology, and he has published 60 peer-reviewed scientific articles and reviews. Before joining CSR, Dr. Ganesan served as a scientific review officer at the NIEHS.
