Dr. Yun Mei received her medical degree in China and is certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) of the United States. She served as a clinical pathologist in China for five years before joining Southern Illinois University School of Medicine for post-doctoral training in molecular pharmacology, with a focus on G protein-coupled receptors. She subsequently conducted research in cancer cell biology at the Medical College of Georgia. Yun also worked in the biotech industry, where she performed preclinical evaluations of immunomodulators as potential therapeutics for lymphoma and hepatitis C. Prior to joining the Center for Scientific Review (CSR), she served as a Scientific Review Officer (SRO) at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR).
