Biography
After receiving his Ph.D. in physics in the area of structural biology from the University of Oregon, Dr. Jacobson carried out postdoctoral training in the Molecular and Cell Biology Department at the University of California, Berkeley. He then went on to the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas where he was an assistant professor carrying out research on structural and biophysical aspects of eukaryotic RNA polymerase II general transcription machinery.
