Dr. Gagan Pandya is the Scientific Review Officer for CSR’s Small Business “Non-HIV Infectious Agent Detection/Diagnostic, Food Safety, Sterilization/Disinfection and Bioremediation” Special Emphasis Panel [ZRG1 IDM-V (12)] in the ‘Infectious Diseases and Microbiology’ IRG.
He received his Ph.D. in microbiology from the M.S. University of Baroda, India. He pursued his postdoctoral training in molecular microbiology at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey and in molecular carcinogenesis at the American Health Foundation in NY. Dr. Pandya subsequently served as a senior research scientist at Wyeth Vaccines working on DNA vaccines. Prior to joining CSR, Dr. Pandya was a staff scientist and a team leader for comparative genomics program of the Pathogen Functional Genomics Resource Center at the J. Craig Venter Institute in Rockville, MD. He has also taught microbiology at undergraduate and post-graduate levels during his career.
