Dr. Joanna Szczepanik received her Ph.D. in neuroscience and cognitive science from the University of Maryland. She joined the Intramural Research Program at the National Institute on Aging, and later at the National Institute of Mental Health. Her research was focused on behavioral and neural characteristics of Major Depressive Disorder using cognitive neuroscience methods.
