Dr. Anne-Sophie Wattiez received a Ph.D. in neuropharmacology from the Université d’Auvergne in France, then trained at the University of Iowa on a John J. Bonica fellowship before starting her independent research in a joint position between the University of Iowa and the Iowa City Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Her research; supported by diverse federal, foundation and industry grants; focused on chronic pain and headache pathophysiology, using rodent models, with an emphasis on translational behavioral evoked and non-evoked outcomes. Dr. Wattiez worked as a contractor for NINDS at the Preclinical Screening Platform for Pain, before joining CSR.
