Dr. Byung Min (Justin) Chung received his Ph.D. degree in cancer research from Northwestern University, where he studied kinase signaling pathways in non-small cell lung cancer. He then moved on to Johns Hopkins School of Public Health for his postdoctoral training, elucidating non-mechanical functions of cytoskeletal proteins in skin cancer. Before joining the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Chung was a tenured associate professor at The Catholic University of America. His research program, which received grant awards from the National Cancer Institute, focused on characterizing functions of the keratin intermediate filament network in breast cancer.
