Dr. Ezgi Kunttas-Tatli earned her master’s degree from West Virginia University, where she investigated early neurogenesis in eye development using Drosophila. She went on to receive her Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, focusing her doctoral research on the role of Wnt signaling in early Drosophila embryo patterning and morphogenesis. Following graduate school, Dr. Kunttas-Tatli completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), conducting research on neural crest collective cell migration using chick and zebrafish models. She then transitioned into a role as a research scientist at Caltech, where she studied olfactory neurodevelopment in a novel insect model organism before joining the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a Scientific Review Officer at the Center for Scientific Review (CSR).
