Dr. Wenyan Han received her Ph.D. in neuropharmacology from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University in China, where she studied neuropeptides and drug addiction. She then completed postdoctoral research training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), where she gained further experience in animal modeling, genetics, molecular biology, electrophysiology, and neuronal circuits. Before joining CSR, she served as a staff scientist at NINDS, where her research focused on the interplay between ionotropic receptors and post-synaptic transmembrane proteins at synapses. She also investigated the neurocircuitry mechanisms and pharmacology of GABAA receptor auxiliary subunits in behavior and psychiatric disorders. Throughout her career, Dr. Han has authored more than 30 publications in high-impact journals, including Science, Cell, Immunity, Neuron, PNAS, Cell Reports, and PLOS Genetics.
