Dr. Hoshaw received his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology/Neuroscience from Temple University where he studied the neuroscience of addiction. He then obtained post-doctoral training in pharmacology at the University of Pennsylvania where he studied stress neurobiology. Dr. Hoshaw joined CSR as a scientific review officer (SRO), later moving to the Scientific Review Branch at the National Eye Institute as an SRO and then overseeing the branch as chief.
