Neuropathology E – NPE
Review Branch Summary
The Neuropathology E (NPE) Review Branch considers applications that involve understanding the development, neurobiology, and etiology of substance use disorders and mental health disorders. The applications involve mechanistic, preclinical and clinical approaches. Areas of emphasis include: neural circuitry of motivated behavior, negative effects of drugs of abuse, pathophysiology of psychiatric and neurological disorders, as well as psychopathology across the adult lifespan. In addition to Research Project Grants (RPG), NPE also has Fellowship and Career development panels to review topics relevant to this review branch.
