Dr. Kristin McNally received her Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology from Michigan State University. She completed postdoctoral training in prion diseases at Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) in Montana, part of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). She subsequently became a research fellow in the Laboratory of Virology at RML, where she led independent research projects investigating the innate immune response of emerging viruses in the BSL4 maximum containment laboratory. Dr. McNally also managed the BSL3, trained scientists, and mentored trainees. Highlights of her career journey include being deployed to the Ebola outbreak in Liberia as part of a joint NIH/CDC effort and being awarded an Embassy Science Fellowship to work as a subject matter expert in Baku, Azerbaijan through the US Department of State. Prior to joining CSR, Dr. McNally was a scientific review officer at NIAID.
