Dr. Debanjan Goswami received his Ph.D. in cell biology from the National Center for Biological Sciences – TIFR in Bangalore, India, followed by postdoctoral training in neuroscience at Stanford University School of Medicine. With over two decades as a biomedical scientist, Dr. Goswami advanced imaging technologies and made significant contributions to cell biology, neuroscience, and cancer research, publishing in journals including Cell, Nature, Neuron, and Cancer Research. At the National Cancer Institute (NCI), he supported the RAS Initiative—a major interdisciplinary program bridging biology and computational physics across NCI and the Department of Energy national labs to target one of cancer’s most elusive oncogenes. Before joining CSR, he served as a scientific review officer at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), overseeing various scientific review panels, contributing to improving review operations, and leading outreach to enhance understanding of NIH review. Dr. Goswami has served on editorial boards and peer-review panels and received honors, including the NCI–DOE Outstanding Achievement Award and NIBIB’s Service Award for Special Activity.
