This recurring SEP reviews applications focused on rehabilitation of language and cognitive impairment in children, adults and older adults across a range of disorders. Applications that are focused on determining targets for future clinical interventions or rehabilitation may also be reviewed here.

- Studies of cognitive remediation in clinical populations, high-risk healthy adults, or in recovery from brain injury.
- Interventions to enhance cognitive function in clinical populations, high-risk healthy adults, and establish their mechanism of action.
- Language disorder and other language and communication disorders: their nature, origins, developmental course, assessment, prevention, treatment, and remediation in clinical populations, such as TBI, child stroke, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and MCI.
- Applications that emphasize language development in children with developmental disabilities.
- Applications that include interventions focused on cognition and have a motor component as well.
