Healthcare Methodology/Measure Evaluation – HSS (90)
Reviews applications that propose studies leveraging and evaluating the effectiveness of information technology (e.g., mHealth, web-based, patient portals, telehealth, wearables, chatbots, sensors) to address: 1) patient/caregiver knowledge and understanding of health information or health data; 2) patient/caregiver access to or engagement with health services or health care systems; and/or 3) patient/caregiver communication with providers or other stakeholders (e.g., community, NGOs, advocates). Emphasis is on evaluating previously developed IT methods. The panel also reviews applications that focus on the organizational, systems, and policy factors that influence the use and implementation of health information technology (HIT). Projects can be at the individual level (patients/caregivers), within ambulatory or clinical environments, or at the organization, systems, or policy levels.
