This special emphasis panel reviews training and career development applications in the general area of musculoskeletal and oral sciences. Training and career development can be basic, translationally, or clinically focused in areas related to cellular function, physiology, pathophysiology/disease, regeneration of the musculoskeletal and oral/dental systems, and orthopedics and rehabilitation science.

Review Dates

A roster for the panel will be posted here, at least 30 days prior to the review meeting

Topics

  • Physiology and pathobiology studies that utilize genetic and molecular approaches in musculoskeletal and oral/dental systems.
  • Experimental models, clinical studies and studies on the mechanisms of disease states including biomechanics and exercise physiology involving musculoskeletal systems.
  • Tissue engineering for replacement or repair of damaged or poorly functioning musculoskeletal structures and oral/dental tissues.
  • Rehabilitation of musculoskeletal system including physical therapy methods, kinesiology, and engineering and testing of musculoskeletal prostheses.
