Dr. Andrew Wolfe received his Ph.D. in neurobiology and physiology from Northwestern University, where he studied regulation of reproductive neuroendocrine function. His post-doctoral training at Boston Children’s Hospital focused on understanding the cell-specific regulation of the gonadotropin releasing hormone gene. He joined the faculty of The University of Chicago and then moved to The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHU/UMD), where he explored the complex interactions between the hormone systems regulating reproduction and energy metabolism. Dr. Wolfe also served as the director of the Integrated Physiology and Ligand Assay Core for the JHU/UMD Diabetes Research Center. Dr. Wolfe left Johns Hopkins at the rank of associate professor to join CSR.
